With something new to admire every time we visit, the Geelong Arts Centre's new Ryrie Street redevelopment is sure to impress! The fresh and inspiring new look was recently unveiled incorporating both old and new architecture with a big emphasis on the restoration of the heritage-listed church facade.
The project took two years to complete, employing more than 800 workers, many coming directly from the Geelong region. MultiTek Solutions are proud to be one of the local companies who played a pivotal role in providing Audio Visual Design and Engineering Solutions for the redeveloped Geelong Arts Centre.
Melbourne-based design studio HASSELL designed the new art centre with ARUP engaged as Theatre Consultants. The new design incorporates an updated entrance, four state-of-the-art studios, cool new foyer bar and creative industries working space named the 'Creative Engine' that traverses a complete floor.
The Geelong Arts Centre is unique in that outside of Melbourne; it is the only state-owned cultural institution. The next stage of its redevelopment will be the Little Malop Street end including a complete overhaul of the 750-seat Playhouse Theatre.
MultiTek Solutions is thrilled to be associated with GAC and looks forward to maintaining a positive and ongoing relationship with the centre as it enters a new and unrivalled era of creativity.
