gav.jpg Gavin Hulme - Managing Director

In 1990, Gavin attended the school of Audio Engineering in London where he was inspired to pursue a career in Audio Visual Technologies. Accompanied by a love of electronics, computer science, and acoustics from an early age, Gavin also completed several study modules on Information Technology and Communication Systems from Charles Sturt University.

Gavin’s interest and involvement with AV and electronics span across 5 decades. He completed his first AV installation when he was in grade five.

With over 35 years of experience and knowledge in Audio Visual technology, live production, and theatrical design engineering solutions, Gavin is an experienced and exceptional AV design engineer, sound production operator and corporate project manager. He has been involved in hundreds of commercial and corporate AV projects and has a lifelong passion for all things acoustic. Achieving clear and intelligible audio for listeners and audiences is Gavin’s driving force.

For over 5 years Gavin was Head of the Technical Department at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre, and for over a decade, he Project Managed Victoria’s iconic Port Fairy Folk Festival. Gavin has overseen the implementation of major technical equipment contracts on constructions such as Geelong Grammar’s Creative Education Centre and Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre. His company and crew played a pivotal role in the AV installation work completed on the new Geelong Library and Heritage Centre.

As Owner and Director of MultiTek Solutions, Gavin leads the design and engineering team, customising AV solutions for clients whilst utilising the latest in AV technology.

When he’s not design-engineering or overseeing a major technical project, you’ll find Gavin out on the ocean perfecting either his windsurfing or stand up paddle boarding techniques.

shane.jpg Shane Haugh - AV Sales & Design Engineer

Shane’s experience spans over 15 years in the entertainment industry in all manner of live production, theatre design and commercial and corporate audio visual systems. These experiences make him a vital part of MultiTek’s Team.

Shane graduated from Federation University in 2002 with a Diploma of Entertainment in Lighting, Sound & Production Management and has been highly sought after ever since. He has continually added to his skills in design by completing a range of industry studies including Revit Architecture and Auto CAD at RMIT.

Shane’s career has included working with some of Australia’s finest entertainment personalities as a touring lighting designer as well as working in many performing arts centres around the country.

In recent years, Shane has moved to AV integration and theatre design in both sales and design roles. Shane has worked with many AV integrators and theatre designers, including international theatre consultancy firm Marshall Day Entertech.

His comprehensive entertainment industry and AV knowledge, combined with his creative skills from his design background have seen him involved in design and integration projects across a breadth of entertainment and corporate venues.

Shane’s excellent team leading and training skills along with his commitment to innovation and design enable him to manage technical advisory solutions both for design and installation.

Shane’s excellent organisational skills and his strategic and comprehensive approach to managing people also make him our highly valued Human Resource Manager.

Shane is a keen runner and enjoys keeping fit and when he is not at work he likes to spend time with his family and friends, enjoying fine food, wine, and travel.

marty.jpg Marty Schmidt - Senior Installation Technician

Marty’s interest in electronics started as a child and was further nurtured by his family’s musical background, so it was from an early age that he decided to pursue a career in the Entertainment and Audio Visual industry.

In 1996, Marty began working as a sound engineer for DB Concert Sound in Geelong where he relished the opportunity to travel with a broad range of artists. Marty quickly developed a love for the industry and was afforded the opportunity of working with several companies. He was a senior technician at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre before commencing with MultiTek in 2011.

Marty’s in-depth knowledge of electronics accompanied by his sharp understanding of system operations make him a vital member of our installation team. Marty has a wealth of experience in “Audio Digital Signal Processors” and has been instrumental in overseeing the installation of many high-performance AV systems in many different facilities. Marty is a guide and mentor to our install team.

When he’s not working Marty enjoys a night out at the theatre and savours any time spent with friends or playing golf. As a sporting enthusiast he also enjoys taking to the waves for a surf or swim, and when Marty has the time, he likes to watch a good game of footy or tennis.

Adam_01bnw.jpgAdam Lippens -Business Administration Manager

Adam is MultiTek Solutions' Business Administration Manager. He joined MultiTek early in 2018 and comes from a comprehensive background in Accounts Management, and Office Administration. Adam has a wide array of experience in senior administration and accounts; he is also skilled in warehouse operations and sales.

Adam oversees the support operations of MultiTek Solutions, ensuring the office runs smoothly and accomplishes its goals on a daily basis. Adam facilitates and manages all reception work involving the receipt and direction of office guests, phone coverage, and clerical tasks. He is efficient and enthusiastic and pays close attention to fine details. Adam's role is to support customers, suppliers and staff of MultiTek Solutions. Adam will do his best to resolve any arising issues for you, and he'll help you out in any way needed.

When Adam's not running the MultiTek front office, he's busy spending time with his four boys and family. Adam has a natural flair for music; he loves to wind down by playing his guitar or drums. Come the weekend you'll more than likely find Adam heading out to the green for a hit of golf.

dean.jpg Dean Gray – Senior Technician/Service Manager

Dean joined MultiTek Solutions in 2013 and has over 18 years’ experience in corporate audio visual installation and video production. With a strong knowledge of electronics and extensive fault finding and troubleshooting experience, Dean oversees our service management department.

Dean has a Diploma in Project Management, Cert 4 Trainer and Assessor and ACMA registration. He is extensively qualified in systems programming with certifications in Dynalite, Crestron Digital Media, Crestron and Clear One.

Dean is our in-house guru when it comes to broadcast and video production. He has worked with several of Victoria’s leading universities and on complex AV systems for major corporations such as Telstra, the National Australia Bank, BHP and CPA.

Dean ensures all our clients’ ‘scheduled and reactive’ AV maintenance is taken care of with the highest standard and in a timely manner. When he’s not busy programming a system or coordinating a video shoot, Dean likes to spend any free time with his wife and extended family. He also enjoys having quality time with his children.

michael.jpg Michael Grgurevic - Project Manager

Michael started his career in Geelong more than 20 years ago when he completed his apprenticeship as an electronics technician. Prior to joining MultiTek Solutions, he managed his own service repair business for some 17 years.

Michael has a broad background in electronic systems and has worked extensively in the maintenance, repair and testing of electrical components, he has also project managed with solution driven companies such as Sigtec and Plexicor Futuris. Michael’s project management work for Public Transport Victoria involved using and assisting with the implementation of the successful ‘Smartbus’ information networking system.

As a project manager for MultiTek Solutions, Michael coordinates and focuses on the processes needed to achieve pragmatic solutions for your AV projects.

Being a people’s person Michael is adaptive at working with many different stakeholders, and he understands that projects are only successful because of the combined efforts of design engineers, technicians and installers working together. Michael is a proactive planner and is great at liaising with the many interdisciplinary fields that go into creating an exceptional AV system.

When Michael’s not project managing for MultiTek Solutions he relishes free time spent with his wife and two little boys. He loves a spot of fishing and an occasional hit of golf, and generally speaking, he enjoys the great outdoors.

julia.jpg Julia Hulme – Public Relations

As MultiTek’s PR consultant, Julia comes from a teaching background with over 21 years experience working in both primary and secondary education.

Julia has completed journalism, literary and education studies from Deakin University and has also completed Post Grad work from the University of Melbourne.

On a day-to-day basis, Julia is responsible for all inbound and outbound marketing efforts, she oversees all advertising, copywriting, business awards, website design and development material.

Julia’s passion for writing and creativity immediately attracted her to the position at MultiTek Solutions. She loves the psychology behind advertising and relishes the design process involved in creating promotional materials, always striving to engage clients with the products and information they want to be reading about.

As a former educator, she understands the importance of emerging technologies and loves knowing that MultiTek Solutions’ AV systems enhance and broaden people’s lives.

In addition to enjoying her days at the office, Julia loves to travel with her family, cuddle with her two cats and take long endurance walks in the hills.

Jeff.jpg Jeff Cunningham – AV Professional 

Jeff Joined MultiTek Solutions in 2017. His in-depth knowledge and expansive background in all aspects of the Audio Visual industry make Jeff a well-rounded AV professional. Jeff worked at Deakin University for many years as an Audio Visual Communications Engineer and is a seasoned programmer and AV Technician. Amongst his many qualifications, he is a certified Info-Comm Technology Specialist.

Jeff studied at the School of Audio Engineering in St Kilda where he completed an Advanced Certificate in Audio Engineering; he then went on to complete an Advanced Diploma in Electro Technology. Jeff has extensive experience working with corporate and government clients and in multi-discipline teams. Jeff's attention to detail and thoughtful approach make him a valued asset to the MTS' team.

When Jeff's not at work, he likes to spend time gardening; he also enjoys spending time at home with his family. Jeff is a motorbike and cycling enthusiast, and when he's not out on a ride, he enjoys repairing and building new bikes.

brenton.jpg Brenton McKee – Installation Technician

Brenton is a conscientious and meticulous technician who has worked on an exhaustive range of high calibre AV installation projects including fit offs and commissioning for a wide variety of performing arts, corporate and educational spaces.

Brenton completed his Electro Technology Apprenticeship with MultiTek Solutions in 2015. His qualifications include a Cert II in Electro-Technology from the Gordon Technical College and a Cert III in Electronics and Communications from Swinburne University.

Brenton has a keen interest in electronic systems and technology products. He has worked extensively with MultiTek’s install team, notably on the technical AV installation work completed on Geelong Grammar’s School for Performing Arts and Creative Education and the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts, new foyer, and theatrical spaces.

When he’s not busy working for MultiTek Solutions, Brenton’s an avid outdoor enthusiast, he loves fishing and hunting. Brenton also supports the Richmond Tigers and relishes any opportunity to watch them play, throughout the AFL footy season. 

brodie.jpg Brodie Stevens – Installation Technician 

Starting in early 2014 as an Apprentice at MultiTek Solutions, Brodie has a strong interest in live theatre and the technical components of the performing arts industry. Brodie obtained his Certificate III in Electronics and Communications from Swinburne University, completing his apprenticeship in 2018.

Brodie has a keen interest in, and enthusiasm for, audio, electronics, and latest technologies. He takes great pride in the servicing and maintenance of the numerous AV systems that he has been directly involved with, for a wide variety of clients.

Building, making and fixing things is second nature to Brodie, and he loves learning about new things. In his free time Brodie likes to be innovative, he channels his creative talents through his hobby of crafting accessories and costumes. Brodie's also a talented and enthusiastic stilt walker. Recently, his interests have extended into the areas of Circus Skills, including juggling, tumbling and the impressive Roue Cyr.

Kurt.jpgKurt Bellamy – Junior Installation Technician 

Kurt Bellamy recently joined MultiTek Solutions as our Junior Installation Technician and is highly skilled in the areas of computing and networking. Kurt also has a deep curiosity and understanding about electronics. Previously, Kurt worked at the Geelong Library and Heritage Centre as a Venue Operations and Audio Visual Assistant.

When Kurt's not working at MultiTek, He enjoys photography and tinkering with electronics and 3D printing. He also enjoys playing computer games.
