Stage One of the Geelong Tech School and Gordon Tafe College Rejuvenation Project is now complete, and it is jam-packed with sophisticated Audio Visual Systems by MultiTek Solutions.
In collaboration with Vincent Chrisp Architects and award-winning commercial construction company Ireland Brown Construction, MultiTek Solutions engineered and installed all AV infrastructure for Levels 2 and 3.
Levels 2 and 3 includes ‘Showcase Exhibition Spaces, Design Studios, Project Maker Spaces, and Meeting and Group Rooms’, all of which provide state-of-the-art facilities for teaching and learning. Both these levels form the first stage in The Gordon Tafe College's revitalisation program.
Thoughtful design and careful installation by MultiTek Solutions were 'all-important' elements in ensuring the best functionality and performance of the AV systems in the new Tech School. Each new space has an ultra-short throw laser projector with inputs from a range of sources including wireless presentation capabilities. Audio is distributed via ceiling and pendant speakers as well as IR hearing augmentation systems throughout each room, with all operations controlled by an intuitive touch screen interface. These are just some of the features of the high-tech AV package engineered and supplied by MTS.
Although a separate entity from the main Gordon Tafe building, the new Geelong Tech School will provide a fresh experience for the facilitation of education and learning in the Geelong region. Teachers will aid students in accessing supported STEM cross curricular through up to the minute technology systems. An important note to make here is the 'Audiovisual Technology' provided by MultiTek Solutions is a crucial enabler in this process.
MTS is pleased to have provided AV Solutions for this local project. The Geelong Tech School will foster milestone opportunities for some 18000 students across 22 local schools.
