The Court Precinct

THE PROJECT

Sacred Heart College Geelong is undergoing some major building developments and will continue to do so over the next ten years. These upgrades are all part of the school's major 'physical development' master plan. Architects McGlashen and Everist were appointed by the college to prepare the blueprint for the new development known as The Court Precinct.

Major works started earlier this year, and in collaboration with the project team, MultiTek Solutions were engaged to design and install all the Audio Visual infrastructure for Stage One. The new 21st century STEAM facility within The Court Precinct consists of science, technology, engineering, arts and maths spaces; it will be a hub of creativity and innovation.

PROCESS WE USED

MultiTek Solutions worked closely with Sacred Heart College to customise and design the most appropriate Emerging Video over IP solution. MultiTek designed and installed a highly adaptive, cutting-edge AV system. With AV and IT converging, MultiTek encoded all Audio Visual signals onto the Information Technology infrastructure enabling the projectors to process and display any data. The projection system created by MultiTek allows for remote management by IT staff and ensures quick and easy operation.

Digital Signal Processing Column Speakers grace the precinct's magnificent 'Gathering Space.' Throughout commissioning MultiTek cleverly used a digitally steerable system enabling the audio to be directed to the optimum position, thus preventing unwanted sound reflections. MultiTek also designed and installed discreet touchscreen systems throughout the facility to allow staff easy access to controls.
